"Regional Students" ... "Distance Learning" ... "Regional Campuses" ....
You've heard these terms, but you might not know what they mean in relation to our library. You know it has something to do with people not here in San Francisco, but you don't know if they have special privileges or if special services are available for them...
...well, be confused no more! Prepare to be enlightened regarding the world of Distance Learning (unless you're Taryn, in which case you are already very enlightened)!
Regional & Distance Services is the name we gave to the department of the library that provides Document Delivery services to regional students as well as bridges the physical disconnect between the regional campus libraries and the USF main campus.
Document Delivery is similar to the concept of InterLibrary Loan, but it is an internal query-- in other words, it is a service Vicki Rosen and Eric Shappy provide to regional students in where articles and books available at the Gleeson Library, in addition to material we do not have here at the library, are mailed to the regional students at their home or office address.
