Panic Button

Hi everyone!

Since the seating arrangement for you (student assistant) and librarian have been switched, you need to know about the panic button.

The panic button is a white plastic button just under the edge of the counter on your side of the reference desk. You would use this button to signal to Public Safety that there is an emergency or otherwise threatening situation in the library. Once you push it, Public Safety will call the library to confirm, then they will arrive in person to check it out.

So be sure not to accidentally push the button when there is not an emergency, but heaven forbid, if there is one, go ahead and push it!

Thanks!

Our panic button is not nearly as garish as this one :)
